How to set up MFA for logging in on Insights as a Business User?

Any user who has Spectator or Developer access to an account, will have to set up their Business User. Business Users have the same type of access, but use a more secure type of authentication and log in through the Business Portal on Insights.

How to set up your Business User

    Every user who is eligible for a Business User should have received an invitation mail titled "Sentiance // Business user invite".
  2. 2.
    In the invitation mail, you will find a link ("Set up your account") to start the process.
  3. 3.
    This will generate a temporary password (sent to your mail) which you can use to log in at the Business Portal. The password is valid for 24 hours.
  4. 4.
    Once logged in with your temporary password, set up MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) and your Business User is ready to be used.
To set up MFA, you will need to have a 3rd-party authentication app installed. Sentiance supports any TOTP-based authentication app, but we recommend using one from the vendors below:

How do I stop the SDK from tracking a user?

For logging in as a Business User on Insights (with access to personal data), you will be required to enable MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication). This reduces the risk of unwanted access to your account and thus significantly increases security.
When you are invited to Insights, you will automatically be requested to set up MFA. To do so, you will need to have a 3rd-party authentication app installed. Sentiance supports any TOTP-based authentication app, but we recommend using one from the vendors below:

How do I stop the SDK from tracking a user?

The SDK has a built-in start-stop functionality, that can be used to manually stop the SDK from tracking when certain parameters are met. You can find more information here.

How do I make sure all data of a specific user is removed from the Sentiance platform?

If a specific user's data needs to be permanently removed from the Sentiance platform (i.e. after receiving a GDPR data removal request), please contact [email protected].
